Plum Clafoutis

- 3 eggs
- 75g (3oz) golden caster sugar
- 75g (3oz) ground almonds
- 50g (2oz) butter, melted
- 1 x 142ml tub of single cream
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 450g (1lb) plums, stoned and halved
- Icing sugar to dust
- Central Heating & Freestanding Models: Set the oven thermostat to 190°C
- Beat together all the ingredients, except the plums, until thoroughly mixed
- Pour into a buttered 23cm (9") oven-proof dish
- Arrange the plums on top of the mixture and bake for 40-45 minutes as set out below or until risen at the edges and set in the middle (the type of baking dish may effect the cooking time)
- Dredge heavily with icing sugar and serve warm
Central Heating & Freestanding Models: On shelf position 3 of the top oven.
Classic, Traditional & Universal Models: Place the solid shelf on shelf position 2 and bake on the grid shelf on position 3 of the roasting oven.
