You may have heard a piece on Radio 4’s You and Yours' programme on Wednesday 28th January, where environmental campaigner George Monbiot lambasted AGAs for generating 35% more CO2 than an entire household!

His emphasis was on the fact that an AGA is always on and, even with programmable units, they are still consuming energy when not being used.

In contrast, we would like to draw your attention to investments that Redfyre have made to ensure that our range cookers blend the efficiencies and convenience of modern technology with all of the charm of classic design.

Redfyre Universal

Redfyre Universal

The Redfyre Universal (right) is two cookers within one, featuring electric ovens, an electric grill and hob. These can be used when the main burner is on to give greater control and adaptability by adjusting temperatures at the touch of a dial, something most other heatstore cookers cannot offer.

More importantly, you can switch off the main burner in the summer months and use the electric oven and hob which makes the Universal far cheaper to run, whilst also generating less CO2.

Redfyre Central Heating

The Redfyre Central Heating has been redesigned to have the highest efficiencies in its sector, at up to 88%. Combining cooker and boiler in a single appliance and with outputs between 60,000 and 120,000 BTUs, the Central Heating can run up to 12 radiators.

Two separate, thermostatically controlled burners, one for the cooker and one for the heating boiler ensure rapid heat up times and offer great flexibility.

Redfyre Electric

Redfyre Electric

The Redfyre Electric (left) offers the comfort and warmth of our patented Warmfront technology which can be turned on at the switch of a button to make the outside of the cooker feel really warm - ensuring the family will gravitate towards the cooker - just like with a traditional range. This energy efficient feature is also highly economical using approximately £0.02 of electricity per hour.

The top of the range features the latest induction technology with two 2.3kW hobs, which automatically adjust to any pan size and only heat the pan when it is placed on the burner. The performance of the induction burners is outstanding with high energy efficiency and response speeds faster than using gas.

With two conventional ovens, which have lower running costs than a heatstore electric cooker, the Redfyre Electric simply combines the flexibility, efficiency and convenience of a modern cooker with the looks of a traditional range.
